Congratulations to Diane White and John Hayward on their recent engagement!

Welcome back to Austin & Michelle Wade, Cookie Knowles, Steve Case and Stew Smith on their return from participating in 4M’s Muskathlon in Rwanda.

Muskathlon is an ultimate endurance event like no other involving running or cycling, set in the heart of places around the world suffering extreme injustice. It brings first hand exposure to the good work of local organisations whilst raising significant funds for the charities working in these places. It’s a life-changing experience engaging the mind, body and soul like nothing else.

The team from ACC were raising funds for Compassion‘s work in Rwanda, and you can make a donation or sponsor a child through this link.

As many of you will know Paul Sanderson is running as an Independent candidate in this year’s General Election. On Thursday 25th May he will be at The Wickbourne Centre, Clun Road 7.30-8.30pm to present his manifesto, with an opportunity for Q&A. For more information visit www.paulsanderson.org

Safe In Sussex is a domestic abuse charity providing domestic abuse awareness through freedom and education. They’re looking to open a new refuge and crisis support centre in Littlehampton and needs help and support in raising funds.

The centre will support families in West Sussex, provide safe & secure accommodation, and staffed 24 hours a day with specialist one-to-one support, drop-in services and educational programmes. Safe In Sussex works in partnership with the community to break the cycle of abuse.

The building has been purchased but help is needed to renovate, furnish and staff it. If you would like a leaflet that explains how you can help please talk to Pippa Harsant or contact Safe in Sussex directly on 01903 231069.

The Flying Nun, Sister Clare Bernadette, from the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Littlehampton, is taking part in a sponsored skydive on Saturday 20th May in aid of Worthing Churches Homeless Projects. For more information and to sponsor Sister Clare click here.

This Sunday

Admin —  May 11, 2017

This Sunday we will be meeting for our family service at 10.30am at The Littlehampton Academy, our topic is ‘Give Grow Go’ with guest speaker Jason Bollinger. Jason is the CEO of Links International USA and we are delighted to have him, his wife Holly and their family with us this week.

It is ACCelerate Sunday, so if you have children aged 2½ to Year 6 there’s Kickstart and Mini Kickstart in the Drama Studios. If you’re Year 7 to 9 there’s Ignite at 11am in the Chapel.

The Chapel is not available for parents with babies and toddlers this week, but a playpen is situated in the Main Hall to the right of the stage.

Please be aware that each Sunday, as we meet in a public building, Arun Community Church cannot accept responsibility for your children’s safety during, before or after the meeting apart from during supervised activities. Pack down can also be particularly hazardous with the removal of heavy equipment. Please do not allow your children up onto the balcony level in the Atrium as this is out of bounds. Thank you.

The new Alpha Course continues Monday 15th May at the Wickbourne Centre, 7pm for coffee & desserts. This is only the second week so it’s not too late to come along!

Alpha is an opportunity to explore questions about life and the Christian faith in a friendly and informal environment. The eight week course looks at topics such as ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’. The evening includes delicious desserts, a short talk and a discussion at the end where everyone can share their thoughts and questions. Why not consider who you could bring? Everyone is welcome!

For more information click here or contact the Church Office. Flyers are available on Info Point for you to invite people.

If you are able to make a dessert for the Alpha Course please let the Church Office know as soon as possible.
