Giving

Arun Community Church relies on the giving of our members and the wider congregation to run our various services and activities. We believe in being generous and are committed to using our resources for the benefit of our local community and those across the world. All gifts given to the church are used to fund our work from the Breakfast Club to Bicycles in Africa and from Admin support to Alpha courses!

Other Ways to Give

Each Sunday morning during our family service at The Littlehampton Academy, we have an offering where people can give cash or cheques to the work of the church. Many people choose to give regularly this way. You can also set up a Standing Order with your bank to transfer a set amount to us at regular intervals. If you would like details on how to set this up, please contact the Church Office.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a scheme for UK Tax payers where registered charities like Arun Community Church can take your monetary donations and reclaim the tax from the Government. Basic rate tax is 20 per cent, so this means that if you give £10 using Gift Aid, it’s worth £12.50 to us!

In order for us to claim the Gift Aid on your donations, you must:

  1. be paying the right amount of UK tax,
  2. give us permission to claim Gift Aid on your donations,
  3. enable us to identify your donations.

To find out if you are paying the right amount of UK tax and able to use Gift Aid, please see the HMRC website here.

To give us permission to claim Gift Aid on your donations, you will need to sign a Gift Aid Declaration. You can download a PDF document to print and return to us here.

To enable us to identify your donations, you should always ensure we know it has come from you. For Bank Transfers, Cheques and electronic payments, we are automatically able to identify the donor. However cash donations can be anonymous, so the simplest method for helping us claim Gift Aid is by putting your donation in an envelope with your name on it.

If you have any further questions on Gift Aid, please contact the Office.
