This Sunday

Admin —  November 17, 2017

This Sunday 19th November we will be meeting for our family service at 10.30am at The Littlehampton Academy.

As part of our ongoing series ‘Under Construction: God is Building Here‘, this week we will be looking at the subject of ‘Encouragement’.

The Chapel will be available for parents with babies and toddlers this week, and a playpen is situated in the Main Hall to the right of the stage.

Please be aware that each Sunday, as we meet in a public building, Arun Community Church cannot accept responsibility for your children’s safety during, before or after the meeting apart from during supervised activities. Pack down can also be particularly hazardous with the removal of heavy equipment. Please do not allow your children up onto the balcony level in the Atrium as this is out of bounds. Thank you.

Christmas Hampers

Admin —  November 17, 2017

This Sunday 19th November will be your final chance to get involved with our annual Christmas Hampers. These are hampers full of Christmas goodies, given as gifts to local families who need extra support at this time of year.

Historically, these hampers were made by The Wire Project and given out to people from the Wick community. When The Wire Project closed, we started to make a few hampers. This has grown year upon year, and last year we gave out 30 hampers in boxes and 30 bag hampers to local families.

This year we are asking if you, as part of Arun Church, would make a hamper!

There will be information and tags to collect in the Atrium after the morning service. Each tag relates to one hamper for one family in the community, and will contain the size of the family and any dietary requirements.

This is a great way for Life Pods, groups, families and individuals to be a blessing to the families in our community.

Lights On

Admin —  November 17, 2017

This year the annual Wickbourne Centre Lights On event will be on Thursday 30th November, 3 – 5pm.

This will be our 10th year of running this fantastic event, in partnership with West Sussex County Council’s Children & Family Centre. It’s a great way of engaging with families in our local community; providing them with a fun and affordable Christmas night out – last year we saw just over 300 people through the door!

Here are some of the ways you can get involved:
– Tickets: These are now sold out. You can still attend to join in the festivities, but all the slots for Santa and the photo booth are fully booked.
– Volunteering: If you are free between the hours of 3 – 5pm on the day, we would love your help! There is a wide variety of jobs to be covered, including welcoming, running a stall, i.e. craft, tombola, raffle, games and many more. To volunteer, please email
– Tombola/raffle prizes and soft toy donations: If you’re having a clear out any time soon and find anything unused suitable as a raffle prize, or if you have any quality soft toys you are wanting to part with, please send them our way! Please take donations to the Wickbourne Centre reception anytime (9am – 5pm) before Friday 24th November.
– Cakes: If you are willing to bake a cake to contribute to the cake stall, it would be greatly appreciated! These will need to be delivered either the day before (29th November) or on the day before 1pm.
