Welcome: We are pleased to welcome the Rev Tom Robson, his wife Emily and two young daughters Martha and Mollie to the parishes of Lyminster and Wick.
Tom trained for ministry in Cambridge for three years, and before that he worked as a youthworker for a church in Scaynes Hill.
Both Tom and his wife Emily grew up on the south coast and so they feel that in some ways it is a bit like coming home to be a part of the church family in Lyminster and Wick.

Citizens Advice: Arun and Chichester

  • Of course we know that helping others as a volunteer benefits the person who receives the help. However, it also is good for the volunteer themselves – spiritually, mentally and physically.
  • Arun and Chichester Citizens Advice (ACCA) is a local, volunteer-based charity, with a proven track record of providing high quality training to enable our volunteers to do a great job for clients. Our volunteers also find this experience can be a bridge back to full-time work, or a great way of  those who are new to retirement to continue to use their skills and ‘give something back’ to the community.

What some of our volunteers say:-

“I am now in paid employment for another charity, and I know that my volunteering background at ACCA gave me the edge during the interview process, and culminated in me securing paid work.”

“Volunteering has helped me decide my career path, improve my job prospects and my people skills and has given me a worthwhile cause.”

“The atmosphere at ACCA is unique as everyone is there because they love the work and want to help clients.  It is wonderful to be part of such an amazing and diverse team of people.”

  • ACCA provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities, via local centres in Bognor, Chichester and Littlehampton. Volunteer roles include receptionist, office administration, dealing with clients via telephone, webchat or face-to-face, or involvement in research and campaigns.
