Fliss Jay and Claire Jones are overseeing the preparation for the bonfire float this year. They write:
We are in need of help to make the float decorations this Sunday 16th October! Come and join us at the Wickbourne Centre from 1.30pm for a shared lunch followed by making 2 – 4.30pm.
We still need donations of newspaper, bubble wrap and cardboard as well as sweets to distribute on the night.
If you are intending to walk with us please remember to come and make a boat to wear too. or let us know that you’re creating one at home (preferably in red, white and/or blue colours) and intend to come on the night.
On the night itself you will need to wear nautical themed clothes (either red & white or blue & white stripes or a yellow rain mac). If you’d like to order a captain’s hat to wear (for the price of £4) please bring the money to either Fliss or Claire this Sunday. More details nearer the time.
Please note: We are not able to have children on the float this year but we would still love them to take part; you don’t have to complete the full route or could always turn a pushchair in to a boat!
