Staff Changes at TLA

Following the recent staff changes at TLA (see below) there will be a meeting for all parents on Wednesday 13th January at 6pm.

(Paul Sanderson, TLA Chaplain, would like a team of people from ACC to provide and serve tea and coffee as parents arrive, to help create a welcoming atmosphere in this difficult time. Drinks would be served from 5.45pm and the team would be finished by 7pm. If you feel that you can help in this way please contact Paul or the ACC Office.)

“Over the Christmas break there have been a couple of changes at The Littlehampton Academy with Marianne Gentilli, the Principal, having stepped down from her position to pursue a career in education consultancy. Ms. Gentilli had her own education consultancy prior to taking up her post at TLA two years ago and she felt that it was now time to go back to it. I am sure you will join me in thanking Marianne for all her hard work, her boundless energy and to wish her every future success.

“It is not unusual for staff changes to take place at the end of the autumn term and I am pleased that it has been possible, over the Christmas break, for us to make robust arrangements to ensure continuity and accelerate the programme of improvement started by Marianne.

“I have great pleasure in announcing that Woodard Academies Trust has appointed Morgan Thomas, Vice Principal of The Littlehampton Academy for the last two years, to the role of Acting Principal. Morgan will be supported by Jamie Robins, who has been promoted to Senior Vice Principal.

“In addition, Paul Kennedy, recently appointed Chief Education Officer of Woodard Academies Trust and former Head Teacher of Holy Trinity School, Crawley, will take the role of Executive Principal working at the Academy two days a week. The Trust will then commence the recruitment of a substantive Principal for September 2016.

“I believe that these changes will ensure that improvement and progress are not just maintained but accelerated.”

Christopher Honeyman Brown (Chair, The Littlehampton Academy Council)
