Day Two

Tuesday: Revival: United Kingdom and Europe

Ask me,

and I will make the nations your inheritance,

the ends of the earth your possession. (Psalm 2:8)

What are we asking our Dad in heaven for at the start of 2016? Better jobs, health, wealth and prosperity? All things he loves to graciously give to his kids. Or perhaps for our own spiritual walk and growth in the things of God? Again a noble pursuit. However, here in Psalm 2 we see God speaking to his Messiah, who we now represent as the body of Christ, telling him to ask for the nations. Europe, once a thriving metropolis of Christianity and missionary advance around the world has seen massive decline and has become a mostly secular society governed by laws of humanism. I don’t know about you but it breaks my heart as I look around and see the loneliness, brokenness and spiritual emptiness of my home country. I believe God has destinies hand crafted for nations and I believe the UK is called to be an apostolic nation, demonstrating the father heart of God, raising up future generations and nations, equipping them to be all God has called them to be. I see revival sweeping this nation and the nations of Europe and spreading like wildfire all over the globe. It is time to raise up the army of laid down lovers, willing to do whatever is asked of us and to go wherever Jesus calls. At the beginning of 2016 I believe the Spirit is asking us, “Will you lay it all down? Will you be a part of this army?”
