Paul Sanderson (TLA Chaplain) will be travelling to Calais next Tuesday 1st December at the invitation of two charities working there (Caravans For Calais and Miracle Street), looking at the work they’re doing for the refugees and migrants in the ever-growing refugee camp known as the ”Jungle”.

If you can help in donating any of the following items please contact Paul Sanderson. He would be most grateful.

  • Blankets
  • Sleeping bags
  • Tents (4 man tents or larger)
  • Tarpaulins
  • Camp mats
  • Wind-up/solar torches and lanterns
  • Men’s waterproof walking boots, high ankle or trainers, especially sizes 42 and 43
  • Women’s boots/ shoes up to size 39 (no heels)
  • Waterproof warm winter coats
  • Socks and New Underwear (for men, women and children)
  • Goody bags of hats, gloves and scarves
  • Men’s trousers – in particular men’s black jeans size 28-36
  • Pre-made identical food parcels shoe box size (with a selection of easy to cook & non-perishable food e.g. tins (pull tops) of tuna/lamb/chicken/beef or beans/chickpeas/lentils/tomatoes, tomato puree, sugar, salt, long life fruit juice, coffee, tea, oil, easy cook rice
  • Flat pack cardboard boxes (size 60 x 40 x 32.5 or 90 x 60 x 48)

If you do have any of the above in good condition please can take them to Paul (boxed or bagged up and labelled) at The Littlehampton Academy Chapel by 10am, Tuesday 1st December.
