Thank you so much to everyone who bought cakes at church to help fund my trip to South Africa! I had an amazing time out there seeing some African culture, being part of such a great vision, meeting some wonderful people and some even more wonderful children. Rich and I are hoping to go back out some time in the near future.

Trudi Owen has completed the Week Without for CAP (Christians Against Poverty), she writes:

I am thrilled to have raised £300 (plus the tax relief amounts). I am now looking to collect the remaining monies from those that so kindly sponsored me. I would like to thank everyone that sponsored me, they have no idea just what a huge difference it will make to so many people struggling with debt, poverty, despair, isolation. CAP can, and do, make a huge difference to people’s lives, I am a living testimony to the practical, loving help CAP provide. Thank you again.

We moved to Littlehampton with our children Ray and Brooke at the end of May 2015, feeling a strong sense of calling to the area and to Arun Community Church. We felt God begin to speak to us about it over 2 years ago. We are both passionate about the local church playing a vital role in communicating the Christian faith, particularly through serving the local community.

Andy became a Christian when he was 4 and was baptised when he was 8 years old. Jeni became a Christian when she was 14 and was baptised when she was 16. For the last 10 years we have been involved with Bookham Baptist Church, where we led a young adults congregation. Jen is a qualified drama therapist, currently working for a bereavement charity in Surrey called Jigsaw South East. Andy previously ran a charity called Leatherhead Youth Project, and is now working alongside Arun Community Church and Littlehampton Town Council to set up a community development charity working locally in Littlehampton but with a national vision. Ray aged 6 is attending White Meadows Primary School and Brooke aged 3 is at the nursery in the Wickbourne Centre.

We would like to publicly thank everyone for the incredibly warm welcome we have received over the summer months. We are excited to be here and expectant that God will use us as part of Arun Community Church.
