Andy Kerr writes:

Dear ACC, I just wanted to take a moment to explain that I’m now going to be working on the chaplaincy team at HMP Lewes on Sundays, and at HMP Ford during the week. This means I won’t be around as much for Sunday services and some activities of the church.

It’s been two years since I stepped out from leading Littlehampton Baptist Church and when Becca said that I would be welcome at Arun, little did she realise the hassle she’d have to put up with from me!

I want to thank Becca, Joe Gisbey and also David Thatcher for the grace and patience they have afforded me during the last two years. It is because of that grace, patience and love that I and my family feel very much at home here at ACC, not forgetting the support of our Life Pod led by Mike & Pat Jones and the Friday group as well.

As I step into what God has prepared for me I would value your prayers and support. The prison environment is not always easy but God is deeply at work in people’s lives there. This is in no way a goodbye, I shall be here from time to time, but rather I’m just letting you know that as an extension of the churches ministry, and driven by Jesus’ manifesto in Luke 4, I shall be ‘inside’ more than ‘outside’, especially on Sundays. Please remember me in your prayers.

God bless, Andy Kerr
