We are partnering with Safe in Sussex (a registered charity offering support to women and children experiencing or trying to escape domestic abuse) across the year, and finding different ways to raise awareness and funds. Our first project is to collect toiletries in our weekly shop, such as:Toothbrushes (adults and child), Toothpaste, Shower gel, Shampoo/conditioner and Towels/flannels.
Everything must be brand new, unused and sealed. These items are so useful as many have to flee with no warning. This will be the first “welcome” a person or child will receive when they enter the refuge. In addition, good quality toys in good condition would be very useful as their toy boxes are depleted and often children have to leave without any of their toys..
Items may be left at Info Point on a Sunday (but not at the Church Office please) where they will be collected. If you would like any more information, please have a word with Amanda Hills, Pip Smith or Liz Brooks.
