As the warmer season now approaches, the ROC Café Bus is getting busier but we are several volunteers down for health and job reasons. It would be lovely to have some new folks join us. The work is easy, just making a cuppa and cutting cake!, and so rewarding as we get to know the people who come on the bus every week. Days and times are various so do get in touch and we can arrange for you to come and see. Contact Pauline Latter 07719 741248, or Colin Hunwick 07963 416065. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org

A man for our time. That’s C S Lewis. And Momentum is leading a retreat at Poor Clare’s Convent, Crossbush, on that very message. 50 years ago Lewis’ death was overshadowed by JFK’s assassination, which happened the same day. But now we find the man’s own shadow has been cast across our culture, which has been impacted by his children’s literature, science fiction and apologetics.
It’s on Saturday 26th April from 9.30am – 1pm, cost £9 which includes a bacon roll & hot drink. In the afternoon there is an optional pub lunch and a tour of Lewis-related sites.
