Abi Race is going to a Roma village in Central Romania in July 2014 with TLA to help run an activity week for children, similar to what we do at ACC.  To this end she needs to raise some funds and therefore she will be selling bacon rolls in the Atrium from 10am on Sunday 9th February.

As many of you know, Peter Beech was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus and has been receiving treatment. Margaret and Peter have sent the following update on his progress: Peter has lost 2lb in the last week but the dietician is pleased with the amount he has eaten since the chemo and hopefully his weight will go back on soon.  The Oncologist confirmed that the echogram is ok and there are no malignant cells in the thyroid PTL!!!  Prayers being answered. We would appreciate prayer for the pain where the stent is pushing on the tumour to ease and for sleep at night which is not good at present. Thanking you again for your faithfulness in praying.

Ben and Emily Ansell have asked to become members of ACC. They write:

Wife and boydad and ladsHi, we’re Em and Ben Ansell and we’ve recently moved to Rustington having lived in London, St Albans and Leighton Buzzard, where we’ve been part of some great Anglican and Vineyard churches. We’re blessed to have three boys Caleb (4) Elijah (2) and Josiah (7wks). Since we got married back in 2004 we’ve always wanted to live by the sea and very much feel like God has called us to Rustington to be closer to family, to get involved in the church and make the most of the beach .

Em lived most of her life in Hertfordshire and Ben grew up down the road in Walberton. Em is a trained drama therapist and is about to start a business locally called Hartbeeps which provides creative and multi-sensory music workshops from birth to 5.

Ben has worked for 8 years in the charity sector and currently leads Oxfam’s South East Community Fundraising Team. We’re both passionate about people, prayer and community and look forward to getting stuck in at ACC.

Au Revoir from Steve & Bekah Legg – Arun Community Church has been our home for a long time; we have learned here and loved here and made some lifelong friendships. Over the last couple of years we have felt that perhaps it was time to fly the nest and move on to pastures new. We have made the decision to step out and discover what God has in store for us next; to join a church where we can use our gifts to make a real difference. We still consider you family, we’re not leaving town and we’d love it if you’d pray for us as we seek to follow God’s plan for our lives.

Rob Newey is playing at The Dolphin, Littlehampton again this Sunday 2nd Feb (usual time 1-3pm).  Alana Westall will also be making a guest appearance.

The following people celebrate their birthday this week: Lesley Yates, Mark Wilson, Beth Moss, Tim Smale, Clive Fuller, Brian Hamblett, Matthew Stevens, Olivia Lock and Chloe Case. Happy birthday everyone!
